Fluorine Pump Free Cooling Solution for Aotong Intelligent Computing Center
Background: With the rapid development of artificial intelligence and big data, China is accelerating the deployment of large-scale computing power centers nationwide. The Aotong Intelligent Computing Center, as a flagship project, aims to provide massive AI computing capacity to support the growth of the digital economy.Project Overview:The facility is located in Hami City, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, with a total construction area of approximately 1,100 square meters. It consists of a modular data hall and a power distribution area. The modular data hall is situated on the 6th floor of Building 2 of the local telecommunication company, while the power distribution area is located on the basement level of the same building. Project Summary:Power Supply and RedundancyThe project is powered by two separate 10kV power sources, each supplied from two different municipal substations, meeting dual power supply requirements. Both power sources operate simultaneously, with one acting as a backup for the other. In the event of one power source failing, the other can support the entire load. IT equipment is powered by both an (N+1) UPS system and municipal electricity. Each UPS is equipped with batteries providing a 15-minute full-load backup, and all UPS units are high-frequency types.Cooling System DesignThe modular data hall is divided into three areas and features a total of 74 units. Data Hall 1 is equipped with six cold aisle groups and a total of 140 racks, utilizing 70 fluorine pump in-row air conditioners for cooling. Data Halls 2 and 3 each have one cold aisle group, each using two fluorine pump in-row air conditioners. The power distribution area is also divided into three sections. The A route is powered by UPS and uses four fluorine pump room-level air conditioners for cooling. The B route is powered by municipal electricity and uses two fluorine pump room-level air conditioners. The battery room is cooled by two additional fluorine pump room-level air conditioners.Key Features:Dual independent power sources for high reliability(N+1) UPS configuration with high-frequency UPS unitsAdvanced fluorine pump air conditioning for both in-row and room-level coolingModular design allowing flexible expansion and efficient operationHighlights:Coolnet participated in this major project by supplying an innovative fluorine pump natural cooling solution. This advanced system ensures efficient, stable, and eco-friendly cooling for high-density GPU racks, making it ideal for the demands of a large-scale computing power center.Coolnet could provide data center solutions, please feel free to contact us to get it.Email: info@coolnetpower.comTel/Whatsapp: +86- 18326091011

Building Smarter, Scalable Data Centres for the AI Era
.gtr-container-a1b2c3 { font-family: Verdana, Helvetica, "Times New Roman", Arial, sans-serif; color: #333; line-height: 1.6; padding: 15px; box-sizing: border-box; overflow-wrap: break-word; } .gtr-container-a1b2c3 p { margin-top: 0; margin-bottom: 1em; font-size: 14px; text-align: left !important; } .gtr-container-a1b2c3 a { color: #007bff; text-decoration: none; box-shadow: none; } .gtr-container-a1b2c3 a:hover { text-decoration: underline; } .gtr-container-a1b2c3 .gtr-section-title-a1b2c3 { font-size: 18px; font-weight: bold; margin-top: 1.5em; margin-bottom: 1em; text-align: left; color: #222; } .gtr-container-a1b2c3 strong { font-weight: bold; } @media (min-width: 768px) { .gtr-container-a1b2c3 { padding: 30px; max-width: 960px; margin: 0 auto; } .gtr-container-a1b2c3 .gtr-section-title-a1b2c3 { font-size: 20px; } } The rapid growth of artificial intelligence (AI) and high-performance computing is fundamentally transforming the data centre landscape. As global power demands are projected to more than double by 2030—reaching an estimated 945 terawatt-hours (TWh)—data centres must evolve to deliver increased capacity, efficiency, and sustainability. At the same time, new regulations, such as the EU’s requirement for data centres with IT loads above 500 kW to annually disclose environmental KPIs, are shaping industry best practices and expectations. In this new era, designing and operating smarter, more flexible, and scalable data centres is no longer optional—it’s essential. Intelligent Cooling for High-Density AI Workloads AI and next-generation workloads rely on densely packed GPUs and advanced hardware that generate unprecedented amounts of heat. Traditional air cooling systems, dependent on vast amounts of chilled air and energy-intensive equipment, are quickly reaching their limits. Liquid cooling has become a game-changer, directly absorbing heat from the source and enabling higher operating temperatures. For example, NVIDIA has demonstrated equipment running at peak performance using 45°C liquid cooling, opening the door to greater energy efficiency and reduced reliance on compressors and F-gases. At Coolnet, we offer advanced liquid cooling solutions that not only improve thermal efficiency but also allow data centres to operate more sustainably—even in demanding environments. Maximizing Density, Minimizing Footprint As AI drives hardware innovation, compute density is increasing, allowing more processing power per rack and making data centre design more capital-efficient. Higher density architectures mean less physical space is required for more compute, maximizing return on infrastructure investments. With modular data centre solutions from Coolnet, organizations can deploy scalable, high-density environments that support AI and cloud workloads—without the need for massive real estate expansion. Integrating IT and Facility Systems The next generation of data centre infrastructure demands seamless integration between IT and facility systems. Traditionally, these systems were managed separately, but today’s high-intensity compute environments require unified control of servers, power, cooling, and management systems. At Coolnet, our integrated data centre solutions bring together hardware and facility operations into a single, intelligent ecosystem—enabling smarter energy use, rapid troubleshooting, and scalable performance. Sustainability by Design With AI workloads consuming more energy, sustainability has become a core principle of modern data centre architecture. Innovations in cooling, energy optimization, and efficient hardware design are crucial—but true progress depends on sourcing clean energy. Locating AI infrastructure in regions rich in renewable energy, such as the Nordics, can dramatically reduce the carbon footprint of high-density workloads (learn more about green data centres). At Coolnet, we help clients pursue sustainable design strategies from the ground up. Future-Ready Data Centres Success in the AI era requires adaptability. By embracing innovation in construction, designing for flexible scale, and making sustainability a foundational principle, data centre operators can stay ahead of tomorrow’s demands. The future of AI starts with the data centres we build today.Discover how Coolnet’s prefabricated modular data centres and liquid cooling solutions can empower your organization for the next generation of digital transformation.
