The customer operates a large-scale data center facility that provides server hosting and data storage services for enterprise users. As part of an infrastructure modernization program, the customer planned to upgrade the cooling capacity of an existing data center to improve operational reliability and support future IT expansion. The Challenge Unlike newly constructed facilities, retrofit projects often present unique installation constraints. During the site survey, the customer identified a significant challenge: the existing building elevator and access pathways were originally designed many years ago and offered limited transportation space. The dimensions of conventional large-capacity precision air conditioners exceeded the available elevator size, making it impossible to move complete units into the equipment room. Using traditional cooling equipment would have required extensive building modifications, resulting in additional costs, project delays, and operational disruptions. The customer needed a cooling solution that could deliver high-performance data center cooling while accommodating the site's physical limitations. Coolnet Solution To address the challenge, Coolnet proposed two 100kW air-cooled precision air conditioners featuring a modular structure design. Instead of transporting a fully assembled unit, the system can be separated into multiple modules for easier handling and transportation. Each module was moved individually through the existing elevator and building access routes before being reassembled and commissioned on-site by Coolnet's technical team. This modular approach provided several key advantages: Simplified transportation and installation Elimination of costly building modifications Reduced project implementation risks Faster deployment in restricted environments Flexible adaptation to existing infrastructure The solution enabled the customer to complete the cooling system upgrade without impacting normal facility operations. Project Results Following installation and commissioning, the new precision cooling system successfully met the customer's operational requirements. Key benefits achieved include: Reliable cooling capacity for critical IT equipment Improved temperature control throughout the server room Enhanced system reliability and availability Seamless integration into the existing data center environment Minimal disruption during the retrofit process The project demonstrated how innovative cooling system design can solve practical challenges commonly encountered in data center modernization projects. Why Modular Precision Cooling Matters As data center operators continue upgrading aging facilities, installation constraints are becoming increasingly common. Equipment access limitations, narrow corridors, small elevators, and restricted machine room entrances can significantly complicate deployment. Coolnet's modular precision air conditioning systems are specifically designed to address these challenges. By combining high-performance cooling with flexible modular construction, customers can deploy large-capacity cooling solutions even in environments where traditional equipment cannot be installed. Conclusion This successful project in Malaysia highlights Coolnet's ability to provide customized and practical cooling solutions for complex data center applications. Whether for new data center construction, facility expansion, or retrofit projects, Coolnet remains committed to delivering reliable, efficient, and flexible precision cooling systems that meet the evolving needs of modern digital infrastructure. For data center operators facing installation challenges, modular precision cooling offers a smarter path toward future-ready thermal management.

The Aotong Intelligent Computing Center, as a flagship project, aims to provide massive AI computing capacity to support the growth of the digital economy. Project Overview: The facility is located in Hami City, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, with a total construction area of approximately 1,100 square meters. It consists of a modular data hall and a power distribution area. The modular data hall is situated on the 6th floor of Building 2 of the local telecommunication company, while the power distribution area is located on the basement level of the same building. Project Summary: Power Supply and Redundancy The project is powered by two separate 10kV power sources, each supplied from two different municipal substations, meeting dual power supply requirements. Both power sources operate simultaneously, with one acting as a backup for the other. In the event of one power source failing, the other can support the entire load. IT equipment is powered by both an (N+1) UPS system and municipal electricity. Each UPS is equipped with batteries providing a 15-minute full-load backup, and all UPS units are high-frequency types. Cooling System Design The modular data hall is divided into three areas and features a total of 74 units. Data Hall 1 is equipped with six cold aisle groups and a total of 140 racks, utilizing 70 fluorine pump in-row air conditioners for cooling. Data Halls 2 and 3 each have one cold aisle group, each using two fluorine pump in-row air conditioners. The power distribution area is also divided into three sections. The A route is powered by UPS and uses four fluorine pump room-level air conditioners for cooling. The B route is powered by municipal electricity and uses two fluorine pump room-level air conditioners. The battery room is cooled by two additional fluorine pump room-level air conditioners. Key Features: Dual independent power sources for high reliability (N+1) UPS configuration with high-frequency UPS units Advanced fluorine pump air conditioning for both in-row and room-level cooling Modular design allowing flexible expansion and efficient operation Highlights: Coolnet participated in this major project by supplying an innovative fluorine pump natural cooling solution. This advanced system ensures efficient, stable, and eco-friendly cooling for high-density GPU racks, making it ideal for the demands of a large-scale computing power center. The testing validated a high-availability power solution designed for a National Utility Project in the Philippines. The solution features Coolnet’s advanced PGM Modular UPS Series integrated with high-performance lithium battery storage. A Partnership of Excellence The project was commissioned by one of the Philippines' largest and most established system integrators. With a 25-year legacy and a workforce of over 400 dedicated engineers, the client is a key player in the nation’s telecommunications, defense, and utility sectors. Their choice of Coolnet Power underscores the market's demand for data center infrastructure that meets the highest standards of reliability and scalability. Innovation in Delivery: The "Hybrid FAT" Experience To ensure absolute transparency and technical precision, Coolnet orchestrated a "Hybrid FAT" model. The acceptance process combined: On-Site Validation: Led by the client's Senior Supervisor and Chief Engineer, who visited the Coolnet facility for hands-on inspection. Real-Time Digital Streaming: Utilizing Zoom technology, Coolnet broadcasted the testing data and equipment behavior in real-time to the client’s Quality Assurance (QA) team back in the Philippines. This approach allowed for a comprehensive, multi-layered review of the equipment, ensuring every specification met the strict requirements of the national grid infrastructure. Technical Spotlight: Ensuring Critical Continuity The testing focused on two sets of PGM 80/20 Modular UPS systems paired with 512V 200AH Lithium Battery cabinets. The rigorous agenda verified key performance metrics critical for utility-grade environments: Frequency Synchronization: The systems were rigorously tested at 380V, 3P, 60Hz to perfectly match the Philippine grid frequency. Zero-Interruption Switching: The UPS demonstrated a 0ms transfer time to battery mode, ensuring seamless continuity for critical loads. Parallel Operation Stability: Engineers verified the system's N+X redundancy capabilities using specialized parallel kits, ensuring future scalability. Intelligent Monitoring: The integration of SNMP Cards was tested to validate remote management capabilities, allowing for real-time status updates and alerts. Commitment to Global Quality "We understand that for national utility projects, there is no room for error," said the Project Lead at Coolnet Power. "By facilitating this deep-dive Hybrid FAT, we provided our partners with the visual and data-driven proof they needed to deploy our Modular UPS solutions with total confidence."
